Erasmus+ long-term mobility student from BRG-Traun, Traun, Austria

From 15 November to 20 December 2024, Nina Schumacher, a student from BRG-Traun, Traun, Austria, attended our school as an Erasmus+ long-term mobility student. She integrated wonderfully into the 2DS class, sharing experiences and participating in lessons. During her stay, she improved her Italian language skills while also helping Italian students enhance their German and English proficiency.

Nina was hosted by two families from the class, who greatly appreciated the cultural and emotional richness she brought to their homes.

Here is her experience in her own words:

Ciao a tutti! My name is Nina and I am an Austrian girl who got to spend 5 weeks here in Trento at the ITT. Buonarroti with the Erasmus + programme. I truly believe this was the best experience I have ever had! I was welcomed so warmly by my host families as well as my classmates and teachers and together with some other friends we did a lot of trips and activities. At school, Prof. Stani always made sure that I was feeling well and she helped me a lot with the organisational aspects of my stay. Living in Italy for five weeks I learned so many new things and I got to know Italian culture better which was very interesting to me. I also made new friends for life whom I definitely am going to visit again. Additionally to the social aspect, I improved my Italian skills and helped my classmates improve their English and German skills too.

I want to thank everyone who made this possible, especially the principal Ms Rossi.

I can’t wait to see you all again!
