Post 39 - Courses and Training: Classroom Management

In May, Elia Grego, a passionate computer science teacher, took part in an unforgettable Erasmus program for educators in Barcelona, Spain. The title of the project was: "Classroom Management Solutions for Teachers: New Methodologies, Effective Motivation, Cooperation and Evaluation Strategies". This unique and enriching adventure focused on innovative teaching and assessment methods. The one-week course brought together teachers from all over the world, creating a vibrant atmosphere of collaboration and learning. Despite some language barriers, the participants managed to accomplish great things together, with the entire course conducted in English.

The week started with everyone presenting their schools, which helped set the tone for a series of team-building activities. Working with people from diverse backgrounds was an eye-opener. The sense of community and shared purpose was strong, and it was inspiring to see how educators could overcome language difficulties to achieve common goals. One of the standout moments was the visit to the University of Barcelona, where participants explored how nature could be linked to their teaching subjects. They experimented with new tools and technologies introduced during the project, which provided a hands-on approach to learning and teaching.

Another highlight was the trip to the art museum, where paintings became the starting point for a creative laboratory activity. This experience showed how art and technology could be integrated into teaching, offering fresh and exciting perspectives. The mix of cultural and educational experiences made the program truly special.

Returning home, Elia was eager to apply the new strategies and insights gained from the program. The innovative methods have already started making a difference in his classroom. Besides the professional growth, the program also helped forge friendships that go beyond work, creating a network of like-minded educators from around the world.

Participating in the Erasmus project in Barcelona was an invaluable experience. It provided cutting-edge educational strategies and fostered a global community of educators. This journey is highly recommended for any teacher looking to expand their horizons and bring new ideas into their teaching practice.
